Anyway, the first thing I want to share is my card for the Cardalicious challenge this week.
The challenge? A thank you card, with felt, stitching somewhere, and it has to have PINK. I had no trouble with this one, lol!
I used some Pink Paislee Pop Fashion and some Fancy Pants felt from my stash. I have no idea why I haven't used that darn felt yet, lol.

I haven't posted here all week because I've been in charge of the Studio Calico blog. I decided to post some info and ideas about my Project 12 challenge there.
On this post I shared some sketch sites that looked interesting.
Tina posted a January layout here, and I shared my layout and a layout that Nic made me here.
I wanted to share my layout again here, and give you a closer look at the little details.

As I said in my Studio Calico blog post, I think I'm going to carry this design to all of my pages this year. I love the simple design, and I can use as many photos as I want, because I print them at home and can adjust the size. I love the use of 5 photographs here, though, so I may do that every month. I guess it depends on what we do!
You still have almost 2 weeks for my challenge, so I hope you'll play along! Be sure to link your layouts on this thread, and post them at Studio Calico on this blog post, for two chances to win.
I have been asked about the canvas I posted at the SC blog, and I'll be posting it here with a tutorial on how to make it soon. Steve is the one who put it together for me, and he has a few tips for making your own magnet board, so I need to wait for him to get home so we can make another one. I have plans for at least two more. I LOVE this idea.
Also... yes. Payton said she loves her daddy because he makes a lot of eggs. I asked each of the girls why they loved their dad, and wrote their answers on his accordion album/card. That's what she said, lol. The girls love it when dad chefs up breakfast.
Finally, I wanted to share a little bit of the contents in the next kit from Studio Calico. They've arleady guessed it on the Pictionary thread, and it's one of my favorite things from winter CHA, so I'm so excited for my kit to get here so I can dig in and play with these. I'm crossing my fingers that the mail lady drives up with it today.

Have a great day! Davinie
totally cute layout, did I see that on flickr? I love that jenni bowlin chipboard too
ReplyDeleteLove the buttons! Cute layout and card, I have my Jan layout on the desk for your challenge, I just need to print the photos. Sorry about your finger, I did something similar to my thumb. Such a little but awful thing.
ReplyDeleteLove your Jan LO!! I haven't started mine yet. at first I didn't think I took any good pictures last month, but I found a few. I really want to do 12 monthly LOs this year...it would be a great summary album! And looove those JB buttons! I must go check out the pictionary thread to see what else we are getting :)
ReplyDeleteI love your layout it really rocks!!! Great inspiration!
ReplyDeleteSo...I'm working on the January challenge, but i am now thinking would it be such a bad thing to copy your layout and forget about the design I came up with? LOL! It is excellent.
ReplyDeletei always miss the sneaks thread. oh well! love the layout. i always find it a challenge to incorporate multiple pictures in a layout. you did a fab job. i can sympathize on the finger-cut. i've got a doozy of one right now and this sucker is down-rite sore! hope you mend quickly! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHey Daviie! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Sorry about the cut finger - so funny about the band-aid - I am sporting a Spiderman one at the moment! LOL! Love those chipboard buttons too!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Lovin' your Jan09 layout. I really struggle with 2pagers but you make it look super cute and easy. I love your challenge but had a quick question. I don't sub to SC{yet} so I wasn't sure if I could play along on yours and/or the SC blog.
ReplyDeleteThose buttons are really cute. I love your Project 12 idea, I'd been wondering what to do with those cards, now I think I will do a minibook of the year :)
ReplyDeleteGreat! I love your 2 pages!
ReplyDeleteI am totally loving your 2 pager!!! I haven't used my Jenni Bowlin cards yet because I love them so much!! You have inspired me once again Davinie!! I appreciate you!! Lovin those buttons btw!!
ReplyDeleteWhat cute projects, Davinie! I adore how your January layout came out. I'm doing 365 this year, but still haven't figured out exactly how I'm going to do my pages. Hmmmmm...
ReplyDeleteSorry about your cut finger! Bummer! And I can relate...yesterday I got a DPT booster shot because apparently the Whooping Cough is making a comeback in NC, and now I can barely use my right arm. Ridiculous!!
Didn't get to make it to CHA this time. My business partner, Kathie, has rheumatoid arthritis, and cannot make those long flights. Wish I could have been there, though.
ooh I love that layout and how you used the calendar. I don't usually do 2 pagers, but I may just have to now:)
ReplyDeleteBtw..thanks for the compliment on my studio. Just in case you didn't see it...I answered your question about the cubes.
love this challange and just the push I needed to get this done.

Hi Davinie! I love, love, love the thank you card you did for the challenge with the fancy pants felt. I hadn't heard of this brand, so I'm on the hunt. The manuf site seems to be not functioning right now. I found another place (twopeasinabucket). I saved this card for inspiration. Thanks!
