A true story, Goldie the fish, and a day planner

Goldie has died.
Our beta fish that we have had since late spring passed away.
It was the first thing I saw when I got up yesterday morning and it took me a few hours to decide what to do about it, but in the end, I told the girls, we scooped him/her up, and buried her in the backyard. I told Morgan she was an angel now, Morgan asked about the location of her crown, and that was it. Now the kids want a cat, lol. I had to remind them that we STILL have a dog. Cooper. Been around since before they were born. Apparently he's old news. Hmm.

Oh my gosh, I HAVE to tell you this pet story. I can't stop thinking about it!
So we went to a wedding on Sunday, and went to a friend's house for a post nuptial gathering. While there, they shared this story about a friend of a friend.
So this woman had a pet boa constrictor, that didn't appear to be caged for some reason. This in itself grosses me out, because don't they shed their skinds occasionally or something? bleck.
Anyway.... her snake wasn't eating so she took it to the vet. The vet asked if it was doing anything weird, and she said no, it just slept curled up at the foot of her bed every night. bleck.
So the vet told her to just keep an eye on any weird behavior, and if it didn't start eating soon, to bring it back in a month.
A month goes by and the snake still isn't eating, so the lady brought her snake back to the vet. He asked her the same questions. She said the behaviors hadn't changed since the last visit, except that at night rather than sleeping curled up at the foot of her bed, it was now sleeping next to her.
The vet said "GET RID OF THE SNAKE NOW".
Ya wanna know why? Because every night when that woman is getting her 40 winks, that snake has been stretching out next to her, measuring her, and he's been fasting, because if he's going to EAT her he needs more room to gobble her up.
SERIOUSLY.
True story.
I am not kidding.
Doesn't that freak you out? I'm geeting the heeby jeebies right now. Can you imagine? Snake's beady eyes checking you out head to toe, licking his little snake lips, just waiting for the proper amount of room. "Come to me, mama" and all that.
AAAAAACCCCCK!

So there's that, lol.

So today I took Morgan to the kids dentist. No cavities. Serious crowding. yet again. I made an appointment for 6 months, and that's in March. My day planner only goes through December, so I thought I'd check out Etsy and see if anyone has had time to craft me up a new one. I found one I liked, and it is on it's way.
I got this one: http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=10407479
I just love those green flowers!
A very sweet lady from Studio Calico sent me a Vera Bradley planner that I have loved and been using all year, which has worked out really well, so I thought i'd look for a similar size. I set it on my computer desk right under the monitor. My desk pulls out for my keyboard. I'm on the computer all the time for work and blog hopping, lol, so it was a perfect place to keep track of due dates, appointments, Steve's work schedule, CAMPING trips (ugh) and all that jazz.

The only photo I have to share is this one:

I really liked the Collage Press school themed ledger paper with Morgan's first day of school outfit. To make it look more school-like, I found a template online for the apple shape and made a couple of apples to tie it all in. Rather... I made a few, lol. So happy to see my girl in this magazine!

Anyway.... that's all I have today! I'm working on a mini album for a class at my LSS using the PInk Paislee Vintage Moon line and a Maya Road sheer house. I'll be sharing that soon, among some other projects I've been working on.

Have a great day! Davinie

I'll have to remember this story next time people act like I'm gross because I let my prissy little 7lb Yorkie sleep at my feet, haha! At least I know she can't eat me!
