So I'm taking photos of my card and she hands me this layout she just made. She asked what I thought of it, and then she wanted me to take a photo. She then asked if I thought a magazine would like it. Seriously. Bestill my heart.
Of course I think she's the most talented young 6 year old on the planet, so I just had to share her artwork.
Look at that. Brads on the corners. The photo framed in gems. A handcut heart. And a title. She's just now learning to read, so the fact that she sounded out an appropriate title blows my mind.
You should see some of the other things she has done lately. I'll have to share details after reveal, but it involves some of the techniques I used myself on a couple of my Studio Calico layouts and other projects this month.
That girl. Amazing.
Anyway, back to my card. Cardalicious is alive and kicking and I wanted to share the card I made for the current challenge. The challenge was this:
2 flowers
stickers
polkadots
And this is what I came up with:
I really like how it turned out! Be sure to check out Cardalicious 34 to see what the other girls came up with for this challenge. A challenge like this is a great way to use up scraps and also jumpstart you if you need some inspiration.
Between the Olympics and some of the assignments I've had this month, I'm one tired puppy, but I finally finished my projects for Studio Calico this month and can't wait to share them all. For now, here's the long awaited sneaks:
I got all three add-ons this month and am really happy about it. I also purchased the I Top tool, and hydrangea mist, although I used the pink from my stash more than I thought I would (shocking, I know).
Only a couple more days before reveal! Be sure to check back here on Friday though. It's my birthday (another year older, yay! ?????), so I'm giving away a chunk of the contents in my scrapbook room. You will not be disappointed!
Have a great day! Davinie

Awww...your baby's page is so cute! I love to scapbook with my 8year old son! Dad doesn't think it's appropriate for a boy to scrapbook (MachoMan--LOL) so we don't scrap together as much as I would like, but when we do- it melts my heart!
