I want you to know I tried to comment on all layouts linked here. However, if your link wasn't long enough to carry over into a second comment line, blogger cut it off, so I wasn't able to visit and leave a comment. I will do better about commenting via the link in the email I get when comments are made, rather than just looking at the comment section, so this doesn't happen. I want to be able to comment!
I can't comment when .jpg images are linked either.
My UK friends will also be happy to know I registered at UK Scrappers just for you! :) I wanted to be able to leave you comments too. :)
As a reminder, here's the sketch Becky created with February in mind:
Without further ado, let's take a peek at some of the inspiring things I saw this month, using the sketch, no sketch, and even March's sketch:
I love this digi one from Mary. I love the grommets on the corners and how it's framed with yellow. I also love the use of white in the design. She chose February and this layout to write a love note to her kids. LOVE that.
I love this one from Andi. I am noticing many people documenting a special event during the month and using a lot of photos. That's perfectly fine!
I really like where she placed her title, and I especially like that "date night" tag on the upper right.
Sarah documented a single day too. I shared this on the SCT blog but I had to share it again here. I love the title treatment and the clean lines and small details on this layout.
I loved this one from Hemmpa. I don't know what it says. But that's an adorable baby and I love the design on this one. Nicely done.
I loved this one from Jen. I love how she used this sweet poem and used it in place of journaling with several photos of her kids taken on the same day.
I love love love this one from Christyn. Love the photo strip. Love the use of the Studio Calico paper and the stitchery. Love the big title too. Yum!
Lastly I wanted to share this one by Michelle. She used the March sketch for this one (which is totally fine. You can use any of Becky's sketches or none of her sketches).
I really like the scallop she put at the bottom of the layout, and how she used it again but wih the red above her photos. I also LOVE the use of book print here.
Be sure to check out my SCT blog post here for the winners of the Doodlebug prize pack.
And now for the next sketch. This is the sketch I am going to be using to document March at my house:
Easy enough, right?
Now remember:
From April 1-April 20, please link your layouts on this thread, and this thread at Scrapbook and Cards Today, if you want to be entered for a prize. You can also email your images to ideas@scrapbookandcards.com and they will be added to the Facebook gallery, which will count as an entry.
If you do that, you might win this:
That's right. American Crafts thickers. I hear you can end up with 10 packages (but they might not be pictured here).
Who doesn't need Thickers?
Have a great April! Davinie
