I loved this one from JimJams:
You can immediately see how she was inspired by her patterned paper choice in her take on the sketch. I really really like the circle element. I also like how she punched her punched circles with that fun new swiss cheese border punch. LOVE the texture it gave to the design.
It reminded me of a recent gallery layout I saw at Studio Calico using a fun border punch:
I am seriously digging that vertical row of circles. Call me inspired. You'll be seeing it on a layout soon. (Jen tells me that she used a Quickutz border die here). I just love what punches can do for a layout! :)
I loved the color palette and am so glad Jill saved her tree for this layout:
I'm especially digging the placement of the black polkadot border here. I'm so glad you are joining the challenge, Jill! It's never too late to record your history. You don't have to wait until 1/1 to start.
Lastly is this one from Karen. I love how she arranged the letters for her month, how she added in an extra photo on page two, and I adore that cute tree. I also really like her color choices for the patterned papers. I love how she chose that pink strip on the far right to balance out the color from her pink journaling strip.
Keep it up! The year is almost finished. Here is the next sketch:
I'm diggin the change with the horizontal photos on this sketch. I might have to break these up and put in more photos, but I guess I'll have to go through my photo files.
As always, link your layouts by the 20th of the month if you want to be entered in for the prize! And be sure to link your layouts to the SCT thread if you want two chances. As always, you can email your layout to firstname.lastname@example.org and you'll be added to the Facebook album. Oh, and another thing. Please email me if you have won a prize in a previous month but have not received it yet.
Have a great October! Morgan has already made up a countdown calendar to Halloween. Oh boy.
