June Page Maps and some Studio Calico So Cal love

As I mentioned in a previous post, I wasn't quite done with my So Cal kit yet.  The SCT team got to play with new sketches from Becky Fleck, and we are part of the June edition of PageMaps.  Becky has a great site for crafty inspiration, as she includes sketches with an example to give you even more ideas for your pages.

Check out the June Pagemaps HERE.

This is the layout I created with my map this month, which is all about Morgan's last day of First Grade.  I"m anxiously awaiting Thursday when I can take another photo of her at the end of her Second grade year.  Oh my, it's happening so quickly.  Payton's graduating from Kindergarten too this week.  I'm not ready yet!

This design was inspired by this sketch:

I loved all the MME elements and the texture of combining stickers with chipboard alphas for my title.  The end of the title is in the middle but with the two different textures you are able to read it without getting confused.

You can see I changed a few elements on the sketch, but you can still see where it came from.  I also added some mist droplets to ground the layout a bit.  I used Mister Huey Passport mist for those droplets.

Another thing I loved about that So Cal kit was the adhesive trim.  There is a lot of it in the kit and I used it a few times with my kit work this month and this layout too.  Loved it.

Have a great Tuesday!
