We went to the lake yesterday with friends and last night as we were getting ready for bed Steve said that his four days off flew by so fast he didn't think he got a lot done. He's a firefighter and works 48/96 which means he's on duty for 48 hours, and then at 8am the third morning, he comes home for 4 days before he goes back to work again.
Looking around at our house we are slowly renovating, and thinking about the spare bedroom we are trying to convert into Morgan's room, sure, there's a ton to do. But years from now, we aren't going to remember that one weekend where we didn't get a lot of house repairs done. We are going to remember how we took the time to get Payton on a horse (that was the day before yesterday), and how we spent the day with some great friends at the lake and had so much fun we went out to eat because were weren't going to make it home in time for any kind of dinner prep at the house at a good hour. That's what we'll remember.
And that's what's most important. Family.
Have a great Wednesday! Davinie
AMEN to the quote, and your personal reflection. That needs to be my daily mantra ;) ...and I'm dying to know, are you an Uchtdorf fan?
