Studio Calico sneaks and a card

I have many more to share, but here are a couple of peeks at the December kit from Studio Calico.

It is such a delicious kit! I need a couple more of them. lol I'll post more peeks before reveal day so check back.

I'm also posting a card I did. I started with a photo of a pumpkin pie I saw in a Parenthood magazine... I saw this circle pattern on the Cosmo Cricket patterned paper and thought, hey, that looks like a decked out pumpkin pie! lol In the end, it doesn't look as edible as I began, but it still looks warm and delectible, I think, and very fall (but did you notice my stitched "fork marks"?). The chipboard alphas were too big for a "Give Thanks" title, but I think I said all you need to say with the title I did use. This would make a great card for Thanksgiving greetings, don't you think?

I used the new Crafty Creations from Worldwin for my card base. You buy them in a 10 pack and they come with envelopes too. Great craft cardstock and many different shapes and sizes.

Today I also got 4 emails from Scrapbook Trends for their April issue! I almost had a heart attack! It has been many moons since I've had any love from their regular issue, so I am over the moon to get the "call". Between 4 layouts, everyone in my household will be in that issue except my husband. Dang! Even the dog gets his mug in glossy. I guess Steve will have to let me take photos of him more often, if he wants anything scrappable. None of those fake smiles for me! Know what I mean?
