I still have some paper leftover from my CHA stuff for Pink Paislee, so I thought I'd do a little spring project in honor of Easter... which is less than two weeks away! I found a wood basket/vase at Michal's for $1. I hand stitched the pieces to cover it and then adhered them, but I wrapped ribbon around the front piece first before sticking that one down. I trimmed the bottom of the die cut tag, punched a circle in the top, and tied it on with a bow.
I have never made button flowers before so this was the fun part. I used more than 100 buttons on this project, but I have so many buttons it was nice to see a little dent in the stash and something cute to show for it. To make the flowers I stamped some flower stamps from the Spring Fling stamp set onto patterned paper and Worldwin cardstock, trimmed and layered them.
I also made my own filler grass from all that I have left of a piece of spring flowers paper, and voila, spring vase. This would make a great gift for someone, and a great home decor piece too. I think I'm going to keep mine. lol
that is truly adorable. in every sense of the word. EVERY.
