Yesterday was better.....

Thank you for all your advice for my sweet PJ. To those of you warning against the three's, I turn a deaf ear, for my daughter shall turn into a sweet princess at the stroke of midnight on March 29. I swear to Pete, lol.

I canNOT believe that Thanksgiving is next week. It's balmy here! It's supposed to be cold and snowing but instead my kids are running around the yard barefoot and jacketless. Is this climate change, or something rare? My dad works in and around Alaska and he said this week it was 10-15 degrees colder than it's supposed to be. I wonder what's happening!

We are headed to Idaho to my sister in law's house for Turkey day, and because I don't want to show up empty handed, I think I'm going to bring a pumpkin roll and a Pecan Pie. I am not normally a huge fan of pumpkin pie if there are other choices, but I love a pumpkin roll. I'm sure it's because of all that cream cheese and sugar, lol. And I've never made Pecan Pie before, but there was a recipe on the Pioneer Woman's blog the other day that looked easy enough. How could it not be easy enough, really. Even if it was a difficult recipe, she posts so many photos as a cooking tutorial that I don't see how you can go wrong. I'm making these two pies because both need to cool bef0re serving, so it'll be perfect to make the night before we need to leave. They seem to be the perfect travelling pie. Steve has to work on Wednesday so we aren't headed to Idaho until Thanksgiving morning. It should be a great time! We don't see Steve's sister very often but she has four kids that just love their younger cousins so my kids will be in hog heaven with people to play with.

I do have a couple of Studio Calico sneaks to share with you before I go. I got the second add-on as well as the project kit this month. I had a few things from the first add-on in my stash already, so basically I got everything yet again. Enabling much? lol

I'm really excited about this kit and feel like I haven't even begun to break the surface, so I'll definitely have more peeks for you later in the week. This is another must have! It has a few pieces from many of the Christmas lines available right now. I love that!
Before I go I did want to share my card for the Cardalicious blog challenge. This week we were challenged to use at least three circles. Rather than using ribbon, I decided to lay some Bazzill chipboard pieces in a row. I topped them with the Basic Grey chipboard alphas that I am obsessing over. I also used one of my current favorite lines from Cosmo Cricket, Mr Campy. You know I love my Mr Campy. Anyway, I hope you'll play along!

Have a great Wednesday! Davinie

  2. Lovin the sneaks!! Good luck on your pecan pie. The first time I made one it was runny!! Tasted good, but you had to eat it with a spoon straight from the pie pan!! I have no idea what I did wrong. I've got my fingers crossed it won't happen for you!!

  5. I just wanted to let you know that I got Actions to work in PSE 3.0 in case you haven't upgraded yet.
I'm still learning, I'm frustrated since it seems all my photos are out of focus now when I open them in PSE. But I'm learning and my photos continue to look better and better, thanks so much!
