Where is my cold weather!?

I am getting so tired of all the sun, lol! My feet are dyin' in my Ugg boots as I traipse all over town, but I am SO ready to wear them!
I wanted to share December 1 and 2 with you. I kinda cheated with the 2nd, but it really was quite uneventful. Morgan rearranged her tree all day while I worked and did laundry, and then I had a school board meeting. But I got the snowman on his sleigh and his little date calendar set up as part of my decor, so there's my photo, lol.

While the Christmas season is upon us I wanted to share a fun project to make as part of the season of giving and reuse and recycle and handmade gifts.
I admit to a really bad, really sugary habit. I love International Foods French Vanilla cafe coffee. I've even done a layout about it that was published in the Valentine section of Memory Makers, this year, lol.

Anyway, sometimes I don't have time to get to Costco for the great big container before I run out and have to make do with a smaller and more expensive can from the grocery store. I save them and now have a little stash of empty coffee cans, so decided to make use of them and create a little purse for my daughter.

I haven't given it to her yet because she's also getting some Polly Pocket stuff for Christmas and Polly and her clothes fit just nicely inside. I think this would make a great gift! You could put nail polish and lip gloss in it... or make it artsy and put crayons in it or something like that. I used the Sweet Cakes and a bit of the Tinsel Town line from Pink Paislee for this one. The chipboard girls are from Magistical Memories. The great big bow has a loop for the handle and you just pull the whole lid off to get inside.

Isn't that cute? I'm going to have to make another one for Payton. Lucky me, I have a few of these stacking up. Steve will be so thrilled that I'm clearing out my stash. Little does he know I just clear out to fill it back up again with things I can change. lol

With Christmas still in mind, I got this email today and thought I'd share a link. It's for a printable Christmas Wish List. I think I'm going to have each of my kids use it and then scrap their list later. I was just going to give them a JCPenney gift catalog or something and let them cut out things they like and use a glue stick. That's what I used to do as a kid.

Have a great Wednesday!

  9. I love the coffee can purse and your Daily December album. I started taking pics for my album, but I think it's turning more into a "Month in the Life" album. Not too much holiday stuff here yet, and we have warmer weather, too!

WHERE? Where do you come up with this stuff!?? A PURSE? From a coffee can??? You are like a queen of creativity to whom I must bow down. Seriously - that is uber cute, and if I had a little girl, and not a 17 year old who has to give ME fashion advice, I'd be so all over this project!

  14. I love your little purse idea - simply adorable! I too an developing an addiction to the Intl. coffee - my mom gave me some Hazelnut Cafe, and that's what I've been drinking in the mornings all this week! I'll have to break down and get the French Vanilla flavor soon too. Gotta have something to alter, right? ;)
