Project 12 October in November

Happy November, Happy Fall!  I have a delicious holiday latte from Starbucks in hand and am ready to face the holiday season.  Halloween with my kiddos was a blast!  I hope you had a great day!

My sweet friend Scarlet has challenged readers with "30 days of Gratitude".  What great timing to reflect on what you have and who you are and what you can be grateful for.  I hope you'll check out her blog and play along.

Me?  Today I am thankful for everyone who has carried on and played with me this year.  It has been fun peeking into your lives and your creative process and being inspired by you.  THANK YOU.
Moving along to the challenge, I have a couple of inspiring layouts to share that were submitted in October.  First up is my favorite favorite favorite layout of the month.  We all know and love her...  it's Shelly J, of course:

I could go on and on about each detail, every month, but I'll just summarize it with this:  EYE CANDY.

I also adore this one from consistent contributor Jen:

I'm a huge fan of the red base for the journaling box, as well as that super cool red stitching.  LOVE.

Lastly, I wanted to share this one from Vanessa:

I thought this layout was really interesting this month.  No photos.  Not a single one, yet she followed the sketch.  I adore Indie Girl from Sassafras, and what a great way to showcase the product!  Combined with all the other layouts she's created this year, her September layout is going to fit in just fine in her albums, and it still tells her story.  Very cool indeed.

On to the October sketch:

I think is the perfect sketch for October!  Halloween, the pumpkin patch...  it's all going to look great on this layout.  I can't wait to get started.

As always, if you link your layout here by the 20th, you'll be entered for a prize.  But I wanted to up the ante this month with something I'm really honored to be part of:

If you've visited the SCT blog today you may have noticed a great collaboration between SCT and 14 designers in the industry to make a calendar.  I am so lucky to have been asked to contribute!  I'm lucky September!  I can tell you that this calendar is fabulous, worth every penny, doubles as an idea book, is a great place to keep track of the Project 12 challenge....  and that I want to give a few of them away!

In addition to being entered in the monthly prize from SCT...  5, count that.  FIVE lucky readers will win a calendar from me.  I am so honored to have had your support over the year.

So.  Play with me this month.  Create a layout for Project 12.  Comment on this post linking your layout.  And then you might win something!

Have a great month!  Davinie

  6. Everyone in my family got sick this month, and that almost derailed my September P12 layout... Determined not to let that happen with only three more 2010 layouts to go! WOW!! :)

Here is another digital layout from me, using one of my FAVORITE digital tricks -- using a photo as part of the background design (the circle element on the right side). This was my FAVORITE sketch so far!

    Thanks so much!
