As promised: Elmers Craft and Tell Blog hop

Today's the day!  I hope your little commenting fingers are at the ready, as Elmer's and X-acto have gone above and beyond to provide prizes galore to celebrate crafting and want to share their products with blog readers and papercrafters on the WWW.

I was sent a box of goodies to craft with, and this is what I came up with for the hop:

With the 4th of July just around the corner, I decided to use bits from my June Studio Calico kit, Paper Moon, and some of my stash, and make a flag canvas.

I started with the foam core 9x12 bifold, used my X-acto blade, and trimmed it to the desired shape.  After that I mounted it to cardboard for displaying.  Then it was a matter of adhering photos and bits.

Elmers, X-acto products used:

9x12 bifold foam
X-acto Stainless Steel Scissors
X-acto knife
Elmer's Craft Bond tape runner
Elmer's Craft Bond Fabric and Paper Glue
Elmer's Craft Bond Memory book Glue Pen

The fabric glue has a permanent home in my stash.  I did stitch down the center of my fabric first and then ruffled it, but adhered it to the paper with this glue, and you can't tell.  It didn't bleed through and turn hard.  It's a thick white paste as opposed to a clear glue.  LOVE.

The Glue pen also worked wonderfully.  I adhered the buttons just before standing up the piece for photography, and they held well.  So did the paper, which was adhered with the permanent tape runner.

In short, I'm a fan.

In my first post I shared a glimpse at some of the things you can win by participating in this hop, but our generous sponsors have added more to the mix:
