Rolling out the Red Carpet

Yay! The October kit from Studio Calico is now available. Rush, rush, rush, to get yours before they are all gone!

Don't forget to pop by the DT gallery... wowee there is so much eye candy it's almost too much to take in! Laura Kurz was also our Guest DT member this month, and she did not disappoint!

I can also show you what I did this month. I managed to squeeze out 3 layouts and 3 cards in just a few days. That should tell you how delicious and easy to work with this kit was. April and Scarlet did an amazing job!

Yes, I dusted off that Quickutz for the title on this card. I haven't used that tool in a long time!

I didn't actually use the Heidi Swapp mask for this layout of my PJ. I just placed it on black cardstock and trimmed it out. Gotta save that mask for later! lol

I wanted to use 3 of the same photo of Payton because of the theme behind this layout. She has this big beautiful smile, but that's because she's just been caught climbing IN her highchair. I swear she's a real monkey. The Halloween costume is absolutely appropriate for this little one.

I used a Ranger dabber for the chipboard alphas on my HI card and then applied some of the fontwerks rubons over it for a fun look.
I was very excited to play with this kit and look forward to the next one. I love that it included items I would not have been able to purchase at my local scrapbook store, as well as papers, etc., that I would not normally purchase on my own. I absolutely appreciate the opportunity to expand my creative horizons. So fun!
Have a great weekend! My hunter is off to catch a deer this weekend... he didn't sleep at all last night because of "hunting anxiety"... Seriously. He's a little boy when it comes to these hunting trips. He really enjoys being outdoors, camping, roughing it with his buddies, and his dad always comes along too, so he really enjoys himself. Plus it's nice for him to get a chance to get away from the "office" and regroup, so I tough it out. He's just going for two weekends to deer camp. During elk season he's gone for a whole week! The things I put up with.... lol
